Today Verse: — Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
“He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’”
Today Devotional
You don’t have to fix everything today.
You don’t have to find all the answers, prove your worth, or hold the world together with trembling hands. God isn’t asking you to run harder, pray louder, or try smarter. He’s simply saying: Be still.
Stillness is not weakness. It is worship. It is surrender. It is the fierce, quiet faith that dares to believe God is sovereign even when you’re silent.
In the swirl of your thoughts, in the rush of your responsibilities, in the quiet ache you haven’t voiced to anyone—He is there. Unshaken. Supreme. Still reigning.
God is not made greater by your striving. He is already exalted among the nations. He will be glorified in the earth. The invitation is not to make Him Lord, but to remember that He is.
So stop. Breathe. Sit before Him with your hands open, not clenched. You’ll find that knowing God deeply often begins with doing nothing but trusting fully.
Prayer for the Day
Lord, still my soul. Quiet the noise within and around me. Teach me to rest in Your power and trust in Your rule. Be glorified in my surrender, not just my strength. Amen.
