You’ve had nights when regret curled around your soul like smoke—nights when shame spoke louder than truth. But morning comes. And with it, mercy.

This verse wasn’t written from comfort, but from calamity. Jerusalem lay in ruins. Jeremiah had witnessed unimaginable sorrow. And still—still—he could say, “We are not consumed.” Why? Because God's love held firm. His compassion was not exhausted, even when the people were.

You may feel like you’ve come to the end of yourself. But you have not reached the end of Him. His mercies are not recycled leftovers from yesterday. They are fresh-baked grace—hot from the oven of heaven. Every morning, God lays out new compassion like dew on the ground, enough for every failure, fear, and faltering step.

The world keeps score. God keeps covenant. The enemy accuses. God restores. When your heart whispers, “I’ve gone too far,” the Father replies, “I’ve come all the way.”

So don’t rehearse your defeats. Receive your mercy. The sun rose today—not just because of science, but because of faithfulness. The Lord has not changed. And His mercy is meeting you now.


Prayer for the Day

Father, thank You for mercy that never expires. I receive Your fresh compassion this morning. Silence every lie of the enemy and help me walk today not in shame, but in the freedom of Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
