Your heart carries burdens too heavy to name—griefs that linger, fears that gnaw, responsibilities that press down like a weight. Yet Jesus stands before you, His voice gentle but unyielding: “Come to me.” Not tomorrow, not when you’ve sorted yourself out, but now, in your weariness.
He doesn’t ask you to fix your soul first; He invites you to bring it, broken and all, to Him. Think of the disciples, exhausted from stormy seas, finding peace when Jesus spoke. You, too, can step into His presence, where rest isn’t just sleep but a deep, soul-anchoring peace that holds you fast.
Will you come to Him today, trusting He can carry what you cannot?
Prayer for the Day
Lord Jesus, I’m weary and burdened. I come to You, laying down my struggles. Wrap me in Your rest, renew my soul, and guide my steps. Amen.
